It was bad enough when the first one went missing - but to have a second one, this time with up to 38,000 peoples info is just stupid. Then the VA has the gall to state:
"VA is making progress to reform its information technology and cyber-security procedures, but this report of a missing computer at a subcontractor's secure building underscores the complexity of the work ahead as we establish VA as a leader in data and information security," Nicholson said in his prepared statement."
A leader? Please! They have a long way to go to be a leader.
By the way I received my letter from the VA concerning the first laptop loss. I am not convinced that the data on the laptop was never compromised.
